9 More Sleeps
Wednesday, 17 June 2009 09:23

With only a few more sleeps until our official opening on Friday the 26th the team at Cardrona is busy with final preparations before the bulk of our crew start their induction training on Sunday. Thanks to some super cold conditions the snow conditions are absolutely EPIC! Our snow making team have been buzzing about some of the best snowmaking conditions in Cardrona's history.

Hamish MacKay said that aside from some unsettled weather earlier this week conditions have been exceptional with 10-12% humidity and -9 Celsius temperatures allowing the team of five to make excellent man made snow "that was chalky and dry". Mother Nature has topped this up several times over the last 5 days with regular snowfalls keeping the base in excellent condition. Snow making at this point is "icing on the cake and filling in the dots" according to Hamish.

Check out this photo yesterday .... all we're missing is the people....
