CARDRONA PARKS SQUAD
FREESKI COACHING OPTIONS
Full time
What is it? Full time freeski coaching option focuses on our up and coming competitive freeski athletes. An intensive program that gives athletes a solid base in competitive freeskiing and athlete development.
Who for? Advanced freestyle skiers who want a comprehensive, full time training programme to boost them towards achieving their goals.
The commitment: 4 sessions* per week Thu - Sun (plus 2 additional days during the July school holidays)
Start date: 28th June 2012
End date: 4th October 2012
Total Weeks: 15 weeks
The Price: NZ$3999
Price includes:
- On snow training
- Basic dry land activities including tramp sessions
- Video analysis
Extras:
- Season pass
- Event entry, travel and lifts passes at other mountains
- Club memberships
- Strength & conditioning programs
- Homestay
- Education

Equipment requirements:
- Good twin tips and old twin tips for rails. All terrain skis also recommended.
- Helmet - compulsory for all training and competing
- Body protection recommended
- Physical training clothes and running shoes
* Sessions are not necessarily full days and may include indoor and off-snow content as well as on-snow coaching. Time on snow is based upon weather/snow conditions and athlete stamina.
3 Day Program
What is it? Part time freeski coaching providing excellent grounding for athletes in competitive freesking.
Who for? Advanced freestyle skiers who want comprehensive, season-long coaching, that are not able to commit to full time coaching.
The commitment: 3 sessions* per week Fri - Sun (plus 4 additional days during the July school holidays)
Start date: 29th June 2012
End date: 4th October 2012

1 & 2 Day
2 DAY PROGRAM
What is it? Coaching on weekends and caters for those that are serious about learning to compete in freeski. The focus is on developing strong skiing skills in all areas and learning how to ride pipe, park, big mountain terrain and skier cross. It gives athletes a solid introduction to freeski training, with the options to compete at junior events.
Who for? Advanced skiers wanting to develop their skills in the pipe, park and the entire mountain.
The commitment: 2 sessions* per week Sat & Sun (plus 4 additional days during the July school holidays)
Start date: 30th June 2012
End date: 4th October 2012
Total Weeks: 15 weeks

1 DAY PROGRAM
What is it? A program that is for athletes that are serious about competing in freeski competitions. The focus is on developing strong skiing skills in all areas and learning how to ride pipe, park, big mountain terrain and skier cross. It gives athletes a solid introduction to freeski training, with the option to compete at junior events. Definitely a great option for those who are short of time and have too many commitments!
If you're not entirely sure if you want to compete in freeski events, have a look at our Cardrona Academy program which runs one day a week and is not competition based.

Combi Programs
COMBI PROGRAMS
What is it? It's your opportunity to Mix 'N' Match your ski training program. This program combines training with The Alpine Ski Team and Cardrona Parks Squad.
Good ski technique will help all aspects of freestyle and vice versa. We encourage good all round skiing and adaptability.
Who for? Young advanced skiers wanting to develop skills in all disciplines to get the most out of their performance. Or, for those who just can't get enough of skiing regardless of what discipline it is!!
The commitment: Because you can mix and match your own program, just give us a call or email and we can discuss what you want to get out of your training.
Put simply, you can choose from 2 days a week right through to 5 days a week. Programs will run from Wednesday to Sunday for the length of the season.

Camps & Academy
CARDRONA PARKS SQUAD FREESKI HOLIDAY CAMPS
Cardrona Parks Squad Freeski Camps offer kids the chance to train in week-long blocks during the July School holidays. Camps run from Wednesday - Sunday.
Parks Squad camps are suited to kids on the competition circuit / or those looking to become involved in competitive snowsports.
Date options: 4-8th, 11-15th, 18-22nd and 25-29th July

The Academy
The Academy is a coaching programme for Skiers & Snowboarders, aged 10 & above* with intermediate or advanced skills. The Academy provides a social environment for kids to extend their skills, challenge themselves and explore the mountain. Coaches will take the kids through all aspects of the sport including racing, gravity-X, halfpipe, slopestyle and big mountain.
From the season long programme to July holiday camps, open their eyes to the different aspects of skiing and snowboarding in a fun, social environment.
The Academy is suited to kids that are looking to develop and progress their skills in a social rather than competitive environment.
