The Mountain

Operating hours: 9am – 4pm daily
Season: 25th June to 3rd October 2010
Average Annual Snowfall: 2.7 metres. Snowmaking to supplement natural snow in the Main and Captain's Basins.  Soon to install snowmaking on lower mountain.

  • Medical Centre - Cardrona’s medical facilities, equipment, curriculum and of course staff are of a very high standard. A registered doctor is on duty at all times, and a physiotherapist is on standby. Trained patrol staff monitor on-slope safety constantly.
  • Lockers are available in rental for the small fee of $4.
  • A card phone is located in the Base cafeteria
  • Public email is available on the mountain for those who cannot wait to send the good news home about Cardrona!

Cafés

We have five cafés on the mountain.

Base self-service café

  • Downstairs in main base building
  • Huge range of fast food and drinks. Plenty of sweet things to keep the energy levels up.
  • Seats 300 people inside and another 180 in the courtyard outside.

Fully licensed Mezz café bar & restaurant

  • Upstairs in main base building.
  • Restaurant-style lunch.
  • Great views of the mountain.
  • Excellent coffee and a wide selection of wines and spirits are available.
  • Seats 120 people.

Juice and Java Bar

  • Beside Base Cafe
  • Serves freshly made juices, smoothies and espresso coffees.

Noodle bar

  • Slope-side dining.
  • Wide decks overlooking the slopes.
  • Select fresh vegetables along with your choice of noodles and meats cooked on the spot for hot nutritious dining.
  • Seats 80 inside and 40 outside.

Captains Pizzeria

  • At the bottom of Captain's basin.
  • The food is delicious and the sheltered outdoor dining makes you feel on top of the world.
