Make life simpler and hire your rental equipment and clothing from Cardrona! We have a huge range in our three rental locations – in Queenstown, Wanaka and on the mountain. Rent the latest and greatest skis and snowboards including twin tip skis, Burton Learn to Ride snowboards, performance skis and beginner skis at Cardrona.

Why Rent?

  • Flexibility! You don’t have to travel with heavy equipment if you hire on the mountain

  • Our equipment is well maintained by our workshop team
  • Rental is available in value packages, resulting in greater savings
  • You can take the equipment to other mountains in the Southern Lakes & return it to our offices in either Wanaka or Queenstown when you are finished (conditions apply)

  • Clothing set includes jacket and pants
  • Clothing & Accessory Bundle includes jacket, pants, helmet, and goggles. All of these items are available to rent separately, and gloves can be purchased on-mountain.

Performance rentals are available for an upgrade.
Walking snow boots can be hired for $15 per day.

Rental Hints and Tips

  • Single layer sporting socks which reach up to your upper calf work well in boots
  • Avoid socks with high cotton content and ribbing or seams as these create pressure points
  • Keep all extra clothing (pant legs) out of the top of the boot to avoid chafing
  • Dress in layers so you can easily adjust to temperature changes
