Full Time Ski & Snowboard Instructor (June 18th – October 7th)

This is a full time teaching position and you will be scheduled to work 5 or 6 days a week depending on business levels. We are looking for instructors who are willing and able to teach children and adults in groups and private lessons. We require a minimum Level 1 internationally recognized qualification and we require you to be available for the entire season.

Full Time Ski & Snowboard Instructor (June 18th – August 31st)

This has the same requirements as the season long full time position but with a shorter contract. You will be required to be available until August 31st – a small amount of these contracts are available.

Part Time Ski & Snowboard Instructor (June 18th – October 7th)

Contracts of 1-4 days a week are offered on an individual basis and a commitment is required for the entire season. Your schedule will be affected by business levels with potentially more days being offered during the school holidays and other busy times and less work offered during quieter times. We are looking for instructors who are willing to teach all ages in private and group lessons. A minimum Level 1 internationally recognized qualification is required.

High Performance Centre Coaches (Race, Free Ski, Snowboard)

Specific ski and snowboard coaching positions are available in our High Performance Centre. Instructor and coaching qualification are required along with experience in coaching and / or competition. You will be required to work 1 - 6 days a week depending on type of position offered.

HPC Head Cardrona Parks Snowboard Squad Coach

Position Overview

 To effectively and efficiently manage the Cardrona Parks Snowboard Squad and coordinate the day to day delivery of coaching, within a safe and positive environment for athletes, coaches, families and other employees.

Skills and Personal Attribute Requirements

  • Relevant coaching qualifications.
  • Extensive snowboard coaching experience essential.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Extensive problem solving skills with the ability to think quickly.
  • The ability to quickly learn and interpret instructions and protocols, and to work within precedents.
  • Proven ability to work without supervision in a methodical and responsible manner.

Remuneration is subject to experience.

Events Crew

Cardrona runs many international and national events and has a very busy events schedule. Work schedules are based on the events calendar. While the 2012 calendar is being finalized take a look at the 2011 events schedule to get an idea.

Contracts with specific start and finish dates will be offered depending on the events position offered. Please note that the type of work involved is very physically demanding.

The types of events we hold are:

  • Race Disciplines:Super-G, Giant Slalom, Slalom, and Gravity-cross.
  • Freestyle Disciplines: Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, Big Mountain.

Experience in timing, course setting, course fencing, course maintenance, tabulation and logistics is advantageous.
