The Cardrona Bike Park features a variety of lift-accessed downhill mountain bike trails for all levels of rider to enjoy. With some of the longest vertical descents in the country, come and explore our alpine playground. 

Cardrona Mountain Bike Park is open every day from December 11, 2020 – April 5, 2021 (closed Christmas Day).

Regular Season 
10am – 4pm (late night Fridays open till 8pm).

Cardrona Bike Park

If you’re looking to go mountain biking in Queenstown or Wanaka, look no further than New Zealand’s highest bike park!

• 2 up-lifts means less time queuing and more time riding! McDougall's Chondola and Whitestar Express will operate daily for the duration of the season, providing access to beginner, intermediate and advanced MTB trails
• More vertical! 600 vertical metres of lift-accessed trails and over 1270m when you take on the mighty Peak to Pub!

• FREE learner zone and flow track for all levels right beside our Learner Conveyor to get your legs warm for lapping the lifts
• Bike School private lessons to hone your skills and tour the trails with one of our experienced instructors

Cardrona Peak to Pub

The Peak to Pub trail is open daily to ride the lower bike park trails and join the historical "Persecution Road". This will take you all the way down to the Cardrona Hotel... boom! The whole Cardrona Peak to Pub trail is 10km long, and covers 1270m of vertical descent. Catch the shuttle (runs twice a day) back up for more laps or pizza and a beer to end your day.

This is an epic backcountry freeride experience on private land – just make sure it’s not your first time riding downhill; the trail is a mixture of single track and backcountry riding so some experience is essential.
