Cardrona What's On: Welcome Back Winter!!
Winter is well and truly back! We've had 37cm of fresh snow, with massive wind drifts and more on the way!
We've been so stoked to ride some fresh lines (even in the storm), especially after the cloud lifted Thursday! A little bit of the above with Will Jackways, and this from Abby Jackways...

... are making us pretty stoked for an awesome August ahead! Yesterday was pretty stormy and there's more snow forecast over the next few days so there will be plenty of great turns to be had over the next week or so.
Keep scrolling... there's heaps more to read about down below, including an update on Valley View:
Weather Forecast
Here's the weather forecast for the next three days:
Our friends at Snow-Forecast.com reckon there's a bit more snow coming over the next week – keep checking out our Weather Forecasts page and our Cardrona Snow Reports Facebook group for updates on both when the snow is coming and when it's here!

Events
- This coming week it's the Masters' turn, with the Dynastar Ski Masters on the 9th and 10th.
- Next Sunday we're holding Pīki Maunga Rangatahi (Big Mountain Youth) after it was postponed in July.
Terrain Parks
Thanks to all this new snow, the North Face Cardrona Parks Crew are in full build mode – they've rebuilt lower Lil' Bucks, and they're working on Stag Lane and Big Bucks too. We've also got Pyeongchang Olympic halfpipe builder Alli Zehetner hard at work in the Olympic Superpipe!
Valley View Update
We know you're all hankering for some Valley View turns and Little Meg coffee, so we thought we'd give you an update on Valley View. The Terrain and Snow team are working on pushing snow to some of the sections with a little less coverage. We thought we'd show you our handy-dandy SnowSAT map to show you what we mean (Valley View is to the right-hand side of the picture) – the red bits are where the groomers are filling it in!

With what's forecast and a little bit of wizardry, the team are hoping to have it ready next week. Watch this space – we'll let you know the night before we're ready to go!
Just because we're still frothing about fresh turns, here's a couple from Wednesday's stormy day with Carlos Garcia-Knight, Miguel Porteous and Nico Porteous to finish off this week's blog:
