You agree to indemnify Cardrona against any claim, demand, cost, loss or damage incurred by Cardrona & arising out of any breach by you of these terms & conditions, any other terms of this site, or any third party proprietary rights.

Termination/Access Restriction
Cardrona reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to this site at any time, without notice.

Modification of These Terms of Use
Cardrona may change these terms & conditions at any time. Any changes to these terms & conditions apply from the time they are published on this site.

Privacy 
The collection, use & protection of your personal data is governed by Cardrona’s privacy policy.

Cardrona at times may use remarketing via Google Adwords & Analytics to market online.  Third-party vendors, including Google, may show our ads on GDN sites across the internet. Cardrona & third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) & third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimise & serve ads based on users past visits to our site. Cardrona & third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) & third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to report how our ad impressions, ad services & interactions with these ad impressions & ad services are related to visits to our site. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy & Google’s privacy policy. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between you & Cardrona as a result of these terms & conditions or your use of this site.

If any part of these terms & conditions are determined to be unenforceable, then the unenforceable provision will be deemed severed to the extent of the unenforceability, but the remainder of these terms & conditions shall continue in full force & effect.

The failure or delay by Cardrona to exercise any right under these terms & conditions does not operate as a waiver of that right.

These terms & conditions (together with any other terms expressly set out on this site) constitute the entire agreement between you & Cardrona with respect to this site & any related product & such terms supersede all prior communications or arrangements (whether electronic, oral or written) between you & Cardrona.

All notices under these terms & conditions shall be sent by e-mail to the last known address you have provided.

These terms & conditions & the use of this site is governed by the laws of New Zealand & you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New Zealand in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this site.

General Terms & Conditions

Definitions:

In these Terms & Conditions the following words have the following meaning:

“Cardrona” means Cardrona Alpine Resort Ltd.

Cardrona is a New Zealand owned company.  The name that will appear on your receipt will be Cardrona Alpine Resort.

The period of operation for Cardrona winter season is nominally June 10 – October 8, 2017. The period of operation for Cardrona summer season is nominally December 27, 2016 – April 2, 2017. The duration of the seasons will be subject to snow, weather & market conditions & may vary from the above dates as a result. Cardrona offers no warranty in respect of the season opening, duration of the season, operating days &/or the number of lifts & facilities operating on any day or time.

All prices quoted on this website are in New Zealand dollars & are valid at the time of printing but subject to change without notice. Rates include GST.

Purchasers of a Cardrona pass will be deemed to have accepted the following Terms & Conditions.

Terms & Conditions specific to Season Pass.

  1. Carry your pass at all times.  If a pass holder has forgotten their season pass, a replacement card can be issued at the mountain Ticket Office for a fee of $5. This pass now replaces the forgotten pass, which will become deactivated from that day forward.
  2. A lost or stolen pass must be reported to Cardrona immediately. A replacement pass may be issued at the discretion of Cardrona. A $5 fee will apply to all replacement passes.
  3. Passes are non-transferable. It may only be used by the person whose name & photograph appear on the pass. Fraudulent use of your season pass will result in confiscation of the pass & prosecution of all parties involved.
  4. Your pass cannot be used for commercial purposes without the consent of Cardrona.
  5. Cardrona season passes are non-refundable. However, refunds will be considered on medical grounds only, when supported by a doctor’s certificate. Refund applications must be in writing with supporting documentation to seasonpass@cardrona.com. The basis of any refund will be determined by the usage of the season pass & is at the absolute discretion of Cardrona.  Cardrona reserves the right to apply any processing charges for refund applications.
  6. Blackout period applies to Price Freeze, Earlybird & Autumn Saver season passes from Monday July 3 – Friday July 21 inclusive. Pass holders of Saver season passes will be unable to use the resort’s lifts during this time.

Terms & Conditions relating to all users of Cardrona passes.

  1. All users of Cardrona must carry a valid pass.
  2. All pass holders at Cardrona must abide by the snow user’s responsibility code.  This can be viewed at:http://www.cardrona.com/snow_responsibility. Misconduct will result in withdrawal or suspension of pass privileges. Misconduct also covers unsocial behaviour & terms expressed or implied at the resort.
  3. Passes remain the property of Cardrona.
  4. The pass holder uses the resort at his/her own risk.
  5. The pass holder assumes all risk of personal injury & property loss or damage.
  6. Passes are deemed to be personal to the original purchaser/user & are non-transferable.
  7. Passes are non-resalable, non-transferable & non-refundable.
  8. Cardrona will not accept responsibility for lost or stolen passes.
  9. The pass holder agrees to the rules, regulations & directions as expressed or implied by Cardrona.
  10. Any breach of the Terms & Conditions relating to the use of the pass by the user may result in the withdrawal of the pass & all associated privileges.
  11. Any person who uses or attempts to use the facilities at Cardrona without a valid & lawful pass & without reasonable excuse will be subject to:
    a. Prosecution &/or
    b. Requirement to purchase a valid lift pass for that day &/
    c. A penalty of $150 &/or a trespass notice preventing further access to the resort & all other ski areas in the Southern Lakes region for a period of 2yrs.

Terms & conditions relating to all users of Flexi passes.

  1. “Treble Cone” means Treble Cone Investments Ltd.
  2. Flexi passes are personal to the named card holder & are non-transferable, non-refundable & not redeemable for cash.
  3. Products purchased on the Flexi passes are valid only for the winter season in which they were purchased & will expire at the end of each winter season.
  4. Cardrona & Treble Cone accept no responsibility for passes that are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed. If you lose or misplace your pass, please report this immediately by calling Treble Cone on +64 3 443 7443 or Cardrona on +64 3 443 7341 or by emailing info@cardrona.comorinfo@treblecone.comCards will be suspended or cancelled & a replacement issued. A fee may be charged to block / reissue card.
  5. Users agree to abide by the terms & conditions of each individual ski area.
  6. A Flexi Pass allows access to 1 ski area per day only. A second Flexi Pass day must be exchanged to access a second ski area on the same date.
  7. If a third party is found to be using your card without its loss being reported, Cardrona & Treble Cone reserve the right to decline to re-issue the card, refund any unused products or to issue you with another card in the future.
  8. Transferring or reselling cards is an offence & will result in penalties including loss of access to ski area facilities & possible prosecution.
  9. All refunds are at the discretion of Cardrona & Treble Cone (subject to any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act). Any refunds requested on medical grounds must be supported by a medical certificate.
  10. Transaction history & card balances can be checked by logging on at comor www.treblecone.com
  11. Passes cannot be used for commercial purposes without the permission of Cardrona or Treble Cone.
  12. Skiing, snowboarding & other snow sports are hazardous activities. Many hazards & obstacles (marked & unmarked, natural & man-made) exist within the resorts. You agree (to the extent permitted by law) that you use the resorts at your own risk & assume all risk of personal injury & property loss or damage.
  13. The season length is subject to snow, weather & market conditions & each ski area operates in a mountain environment where conditions are subject to rapid change. Cardrona & Treble Cone give no warranty as to the length of the season, operating hours, number of lifts operating at any time or to the operation or otherwise of a lift, run, area or facility on any given day at any of the ski areas. Each ski area reserves the right to close any lift, run, area or facility at any time for any reason. Lift passes will not be refunded due to weather or other operating contingencies affecting any lift, run, area or facility.
  14. You agree to abide by all rules, regulations & directions set by each ski area & the Snow Responsibility Code displayed on the mountains. Misconduct will result in the withdrawal or suspension of the pass with no refund given. Misconduct includes, but is not limited to, disregard & breach of closed areas, excessive speeding in slow zones, reckless or dangerous skiing or riding, unsociable or aggressive behaviour or skiing or riding under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  15. Any breach of these terms, or other terms that apply to you, may result in the withdrawal of your pass & all associated privileges (without prejudice to any other remedies Cardrona or Treble Cone may have).
  16. Privacy – Cardrona & Treble Cone will not collect any personal information about you except when you knowingly provide it. Personal information will never be released to a third party without your consent.
  17. Cardrona & Treble Cone will use information provided by its visitors only to communicate with them. Any information automatically retrieved, will be used so that no individual visitors are identified. It is important to note that this website contains links to other sites not controlled by Cardrona or Treble Cone. Those sites may not follow the same privacy policy as Cardrona & Treble Cone.
  18. Cardrona & Treble Cone may also be required by law to disclose information you provide. This information will only be disclosed if required by law.
  19. Cardrona & Treble Cone reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notification to the user. It is recommended that the user review this website from time to time for changes.

Cardrona$ Terms & Conditions

  1. Cardrona$ are redeemed on the basis that 1 Cardrona$ is equivalent to 1 NZ dollar.
  2. Cardrona$ can be used to purchase products or part-payment of a product for sale at Cardrona Alpine Resort only.
  3. Cardrona$ cannot be redeemed against a prior completed purchase.
  4. Cardrona$ can only be redeemed upon presentation of a valid pass loaded with a current Cardrona$ value (by the person named on the card)
  5. Cardrona$ can be redeemed by the named pass holder for the purchase of products for other pass holders. eg: parent for a child.
  6. If there is a dispute about the balance remaining on a pass, this must be raised immediately by contacting Cardrona on +64 3 443 7341 or by emailing info@cardrona.com. No resolution will be available to the user after the end of the winter season in which the purchases are made.
  7. Cardrona$ are non-refundable & non-transferrable.
  8. Any balance of Cardrona$ remaining as at the end of the winter season in which they were purchased will become invalid & are not transferable to future seasons.

​Cardrona Apartments Terms & Conditions

We strongly recommend travel insurance for all guests.

Our cancellation policy is firm & unfortunately we cannot refund or amend accommodation due to unforeseen circumstances, injury or sickness.  These events should be claimed against travel insurance.

  1. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
  2. By return of your signed booking form you are agreeing to our terms & conditions.
  3. All refund requests must be received in writing & acknowledged.
  4. A minimum $200 administration fee applies to all of the below cancellation penalties;
    a. Cancellation within 24 hours prior to arrival: No refund
    b. Cancellation within 7 days prior to arrival: refund less 75% of total apartment cost
    c. Cancellation within 7-14 days prior to arrival: refund less 50% of total apartment cost
    d. Cancellation within 14-30 days prior to arrival: refund less 25% of total apartment cost
    e. Cancellation 30 days or more prior to arrival: refund less $200 admin fee

Cardrona Alpine Resort Closure:

  1. Cardrona Apartments are still open & operational even when the lifts are closed & we therefore do not refund or amend accommodation based on Cardrona Alpine Resort or Cardrona Bike Park resort closure.

Rentals Terms & Conditions

Identification is required for all rental. You will need to provide a credit card (preferable), passport or drivers licence. Failing this a fully refundable cash bond will be held until equipment is returned. Insurance can be purchased for $5 per person per day to cover you against damage.


Ski School Terms & Conditions

  1. A credit card number is required at the time of booking to secure your lesson.
  2. A phone number that you will be contactable on during your holiday is required at time of booking.
  3. Bookings are not confirmed until paid in full.
  4. Bookings can be rescheduled or refunded with no charge with more than 24hrs notice.
  5. There will be a 50% charge for bookings that are cancelled between 2 & 24hrs notice.
  6. There will be no refunds if the booking is cancelled less than 2hrs before the scheduled start time, or in a “no show” situation

Ski Kindy Terms & Conditions

For bookings cancelled more than 1 week prior to start date a full refund will be given. For bookings cancelled within a week of start date, a $25 per day cancellation penalty will be charged & the balance refunded.


HPC Parks Squad Terms & Conditions

School Holiday

The following information is provided to ensure that the Terms & Conditions that the High Performance Centre programme offer are clear & understood. In these Terms we have used “we” or “us”, referring to Cardrona’ s High Performance Centre (HPC) & “you”, referring to the person or family member who is registered in the Cardrona Parks Squad programme.

Fees

  1. Full payment of training fees is due before the first training session. Your place in training is not confirmed & coaching will not commence until this registration form is complete & fees are received. All international athletes must pay in full prior to commencing training.
  2. We offer a 3 payment plan only if you are registered for a 15 week programme & have a New Zealand credit card or bank account. This is the total programme cost divided by 3. Please note that 2.5% interest will be charged on all overdue accounts.
  3. All prices that we quote are in New Zealand dollars, but may change without notice. Programme costs include GST.

Refund Policy

  1. If cancellation occurs within the first week of training, a refund of 80% of the training fees will apply.
  2. When the mountain is open & on-snow training is scheduled with coaches working, this is classified as a training day. If you choose not to come & train due to sickness, tiredness, injury or other commitments, there is no provision for a replacement day, or any form of refund.
  3. If the mountain is closed, or the coach calls a closed day due to weather, we will offer a replacement day to be scheduled for later in the season. Dry land training is offered in the event of a closed day before a replacement day is scheduled.
  4. If you have a short-term injury, caused during training or competition, which causes training to be missed, no refund is available. However we will try & offer replacement days within the same season. This is subject to availability as arranged by your coach, & is not guaranteed.
  5. For long-term season ending injuries for New Zealand athletes, we will consult on a case-by-case basis.
  6. All international athletes need to be fully insured. We will not be liable for any expenses due to injury, sickness, theft, travel, or loss of training fees.

Minimum Numbers

  1. If we do not get the required minimum number of athletes for a particular training option we may be forced to cancel, in which case we will contact you with alternative options or provide a refund.
  2. For all other 5, 4, 3 & 2 day programmes we require a minimum of 4 athletes & a maximum of 7 athletes per coach.

Unused training

  1. At the end of the season if you have any unused replacement days from only either closed mountain days or the coach has called no training due to weather conditions, we will refund you for missed training days.

Liability

  1. Snow sports involve a certain element of risk & are therefore undertaken at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for any accidents, damage, loss, injury, sickness, death, cancellation, delay or other unforeseen events that occur during the course of a training programme on or off snow.
  2. We reserve the right to decline, cancel or withdraw any athlete. We expect athletes to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times as set out in the athlete code of conduct in the athlete handbook.

Equipment

  1. All athletes must wear a helmet at all times. This is compulsory across all programmes in the Cardrona Parks Squad. The coach has the right to refuse training to athletes who do not have the appropriate equipment.

Lift Lane Use

  1. Use of the Ski & Snowboard School lift line is a PRIVILEGE for HPC athletes & available ONLY during training sessions. Any misuse of this privilege will result in appropriate consequences, to be determined by HPC coaches & management.

 

Parks Squad Programmes

The following information is provided to ensure that the Terms & Conditions that the High Performance Centre programme offer are clear & understood. In these Terms we have used “we” or “us”, referring to Cardrona’ s High Performance Centre (HPC) & “you”, referring to the person or family member who is registered in the Cardrona Parks Squad programme.

Training

  1. Training weeks are based on 5 days of training & run from Wednesday to Sunday.
  2. Athletes must be flexible with their schedule as training is dependent on weather, terrain availability & competition days. 
  3. All competition days, bad weather days used for dry land training or trampolining, & transport days are counted as training days. 
  4. Training days are fixed & cannot be rescheduled week to week.
  5. We aim to provide continuity with our training but coaches may vary during the week due to training needs, availability & group numbers 
  6. There is a minimum of 4 athletes to run a training group

Payments & Refunds

  1. Full 15 week programme fees can be split into 3 payments to be processed by HPC on 20 June, 20 July & 20 August.
  2. International athletes are to pay total fees before training begins. 
  3. At the end of the season if you have any unused replacement days from closed mountain days only, we will refund you for missed training days. Closed days are first used as dry land training days or replacement days are arranged by the coach before refunded.

HPC CAST Terms & Conditions

The following information is provided to ensure that the Terms & Conditions that the High Performance Centre programme offer are clear & understood. In these Terms we have used “we” or “us”, referring to Cardrona’ s High Performance Centre (HPC) & “you”, referring to the person or family member who is registered in the Cardrona Alpine Ski Team programme.

Fees

  1. Full payment of training fees is due before the first training session, on or before 20th June 2016. Your place in training is not confirmed & coaching will not commence until this registration form is complete & fees are received. All international athletes must pay in full prior to commencing training.
  2. We offer a 3 payment plan only if you are registered for a 15 week programme & have a New Zealand credit card or bank account. This is the total programme cost divided by 3. The 3 payments will take place either on or before the 20th June 2016, 20th July 2016 & the 20th August 2016. However please note that 2.5% interest will be charged on all overdue accounts.

ITC Terms & Conditions

Fees

  1. Training fees are due by 5 June. Your place in training is not confirmed & coaching will not commence until the registration form is complete & fees are received.

Refund policy*

  1. Upon written confirmation informing of cancellation from the course, the following cancellation policy will apply:
    More than 1 month prior to course commencement: 100% refund (less a $100 administration fee)Less than 1 month prior to course commencement: NZSIA/SBINZ exam fees only refunded
    b. After course commencement: Non-refundable
  2. A Travel Insurance Policy which includes Cancellation Cover in excess of the course costs is therefore strongly recommended for all course participants. For New Zealanders, please look at comprehensive domestic travel insurance & ensure it covers snow sports.

Minimum numbers

  1. If we do not get the required minimum # of trainees for a particular training option we may not be able to run that training.  In the event that we are forced to cancel a training programme, we will contact you with alternate options.

Unused training

  1. No refund will be given for any unused training sessions due to trainee’s late arrival, illness or injury. Make up days are not able to be offered. In the case of resort closure due to weather conditions, mechanical failure, or for any other reason outside of the control of the Instructor Training Centre we will attempt, but do not guarantee to reschedule the planned training. This training may be on or off snow.

Liability

  1. Snow sports involve a certain element of risk & are undertaken at the individual's own risk.  Cardrona Instructor Training Centre (ITC) & its trainers are not responsible for any injury that occurs during the course of a training programme, on or off snow.

Lift Lane Use

  1. Use of the Ski & Snowboard School lift line is a PRIVILEGE for ITC trainees & available ONLY during training sessions.  Any misuse of this privilege will result in appropriate consequences, to be determined by ITC trainers & management.

Digital Image Supply Conditions

Any images supplied to you in digital form are subject to the following conditions. Please acknowledge receipt of this digital image by return email or fax +64 3 443 8818. Accepting delivery of this digital image implies agreement with the following conditions:

  1. Cardrona will be supplying/making accessible digital images to your site during the 2016 winter. These images are supplied for use in promoting or illustrating Cardrona or for your own personal (non-commercial) use.
  2. Images used commercially must comply with all of the clauses below this one.
  3. Permission for commercial publication must be sought from Cardrona before use.
  4. These digital images may not be copied, projected, re-scaled outside of the original proportions supplied.
  5. Digital images & the copyright governing them at all times remain the exclusive property of Cardrona.
  6. Additional distribution or printing or use in any other context requires prior written consent from Cardrona.
  7. No alteration, modification, distortion, addition to (including overprinting by text or other photographic works) or subtraction from any of the digital images is permitted without prior written consent from Cardrona.
  8. All images must be accompanied by an adjacent credit line acknowledging the copyright as well as “Cardrona Alpine Resort” or the “photographer’s name” as supplied by Cardrona.
  9. You (the original recipient) cannot on-sell Cardrona digital images.
  10. Any variation to any of these conditions must be agreed to by Cardrona in writing.

Any breach of these conditions knowingly permitted by you which results in damage to the professional reputation or copyright of Cardrona, entitles Cardrona to compensation from the client for that damage in addition to any other remedies available to Cardrona.
