WST School Holiday Programme

Looking for the fastest school holiday programme out? Train with WST ski racing these holidays!

School’s out! Come and join the Wanaka Ski Team at Cardrona and Treble Cone these July school holidays. We have a comprehensive race programme to improve all areas of your skiing, to help you be the best you possibly can.

If you want to know what it's like to train like a professional ski racer, what it feels like to challenge yourself and move past your comfort zone, come and ski with us these school holidays!

2021 school holiday dates

Term 2: Saturday, July 10 - Sunday, July 25
Term 3: Saturday, October 2 - Sunday, October 17

Training locations TBA. Additional days on weekends can be purchased at the daily rate or as private lessons.

What's Included

• On-snow training
  • If you would like to book additional weeks training outside of School Holidays, please contact us
  • Training with your coach (this may change due to group sizes and dynamics)
  • Training 5 days per week, Monday to Friday
• Weekly fitness training
  • U14 - 16: Wednesday & Friday
  • U6 - 12: Wednesday
• Ability assessment and group allocation (at the discretion of the Head Coach)
• Technical development and gate training 
• Video analysis

Extras

• Season pass for Cardrona and Treble Cone
• Wanaka Ski Team branded outer ski jacket (required),
• WST Soft Shell (mid-layer) is available to purchase 
• Costs to travel to races, lift passes and entry at other mountains 
• We recommend that athletes bring their own ski tuning equipment (ski vices, wax iron etc). Alternatively, ski tuning can be organised with a daily race tune and wax season-long or casually at Outside Sport or The Waxroom. Please contact them directly for more information. 
• Extra school holiday training days can be booked for an additional cost for anyone booked into our longer programmes. Please contact us.
• September/ October race training private lessons are available upon request with your preferred coach, please contact us.

U12 - 16 Added Extras

• Homestay accommodation is available for $400/week. Please check out our Athlete Homestay info page & fill out the form to express your interest.

• Transport to and from Cardrona/Treble Cone is available in conjunction with your selected training programme. Please contact us for more information.
