The Cardrona Junior Team is stacked with some of freeskiing & snowboarding’s best up & coming young athletes. They’re already achieving some incredible results, so check out their profiles!
Miguel leads by example as the oldest of the Porteous brothers. There is nothing he can’t slay, whether it’s the big air, the pipe, rails, backcountry hits, big mountain lines... the man is a true talent. Getting into his late teens has meant Miguel is now being asked to compete on some of the largest snow sports events across the world including the X Games. In the pipe or stomping slopestyle runs, Miguel is always a force to be reckoned with when he chucks a bib on. A positive, determined & carefree attitude has seen Miguel already achieve outstanding results competitively, making him a definite freeskiing prospect. When he’s not being a boss on his skis, you can find Miguel chasing waves, skating, trampolining or taking some sweet photos.
Zoi Sadowski Synott
Zoi’s natural talent on a snowboard is almost as large as her outstanding work ethic... which is gigantic! This girl is definitely one to watch out for as she makes her break onto the larger stages of competitive snowboarding. Starting riding at the age of 8yrs, the size of Zoi’s trick bag is accelerating at an outstanding pace under the coaching of Team Ambassador Mitch Brown. Zoi is always the first to finish her warm ups & always motivated to make every day in the parks count towards achieving impressive results.
This slopestyle specialist’s hard work is paying off, claiming top spot at both the FIS Continental Cup & the USASA Open Women’s Slopestyle. Look out for Zoi ripping up the parks this season if you want to be impressed! When she’s not killing it on her snowboard, Zoi gets after it on her skateboard, surfboard & the trampolines.
