Medical Facilities & Safety

Cardrona is Safe As! Check out all our safety tips, as well as info about our medical facilities, physiotherapy, Ski Patrol & Slope Safety.

At Cardrona we have a range of medical facilities & safety policies to keep you all as safe & healthy as possible when you’re out skiing or snowboarding. We have on-site doctors, nurses & physiotherapists to look after you should anything happen when you’re out on the mountain. Our Ski Patrol & Slope Safety teams make sure everything in Cardrona’s 3 basins is as safe as possible, & are on hand for any questions or concerns you may have regarding safety & the mountain.

Safety when skiing & snowboarding is everyone’s responsibility – take care of yourself, your kids, & watch out for people around you! Always follow the Snow Safety Code to keep yourself & other skiers & snowboarders safe out on the slopes at Cardrona.

We recommend the use of helmets, especially in our terrain parks as concussions are one of the most common injuries we see. Check out Brain Injury Support NZ’s information on what to look for if you think you, or a friend/family member, has a concussion.
