After a sunny July School Holidays, we're back to winter at Cardrona with cold temps & snow on the way!
It's been an amazing three weeks of school holidays, with Kiwis & Aussies sharing the slopes on their family ski trips. We've had a couple of youth events that have shown off the next generation of skiers & snowboarders in the park & on the big mountain course.
Did you check out our super cool Tipi from Gather & Gold these holidays? It was an awesome extra space that kept us warm with a fireplace in the middle & a few extra seats in the Courtyard. Keep an eye out for it in the future... it may be back sooner than you think!
The team at Snow-Forecast.com are calling a snowy weekend & a brisk start to next week... looking like 20cm of snow over Saturday & Sunday, with a cold but sunny Monday to go out & claim some fresh lines!
Currently we've got the 2nd Park Attack Slopestyle scheduled for tomorrow (Sat 21) – with the weather coming in it'll pay to keep an eye on the Snow Report in the morning just to double check that the event will go ahead.
Our next event after the weekend is the Mount Aspiring College Champs on Wednesday, followed by the Macpac Tour de Cardies on Saturday. If you're a keen ski tourer you'll want to get involved in the Tour de Cardies for sure!
Jump 2 in Big Bucks is live! The crew have been changing things up heaps out there & both halfpipes are on the way too... it's all go in Cardrona Parks right now!
Things to look out for
Did you know we do overnight storage up on the mountain? We've got full-sized ski lockers above Ski Concierge (complete with boot dryers) that you can hire overnight, leave your gear in & come back the next day to warm, dry gear, that you didn't have to lug down & back up the mountain again... it's really a win-win!
Remember, if you've got a Saver season pass your blackout period, is officially over - we'll see you this weekend for some turns!!
