Pipelines Ski Report August 4, 2017

This is the first Pipelines Ski Report for August – check out everything that's happening at Cardrona this week!

The story of this week has been a wee top up on Monday, followed by four days in a row of bluebird sunshine! The snow conditions right now are pretty amazing; real "hero" snow... the mountain is looking in tip-top shape ahead of another massive week next week.

August really is shaping up the month to be here – school holidays are over, snow conditions are amazing, & we're gearing up for the Audi quattro Winter Games NZ which kick off in just 22 days!

After a week of blue skies & sunshine just been, our friends at are predicting a bit of a scrappy start to next week, with wee snow top-ups on & off until Wednesday. The good news is that the mornings are looking better than the afternoons on pretty much every day, so get up here early to make the most out of each day!

Remember to keep an eye out on our Snow Report each morning to find out exactly what the weather is doing each day – it's updated from 6.30am each day.

It's a great week for Adaptive events this week, with the New Zealand Adaptive Snow Sports Festival up at Cardrona this weekend, & Special Olympics joining us for racing on Thursday. We also have on of our biggest events of the year on Monday, the Otago Southland Secondary School Champs. Good luck to all the competitors!

We're gearing up for the Audi quattro Winter Games NZ, with only 22 days to go we're starting to get very excited... the athletes are already starting to roll into town, we're preparing our Olympic Superpipe & our World Cup Slopestyle Course – bring it on!! Remember, the Games are FREE to watch so make sure you come up & check out all the action.

The Olympic Halfpipe is aaaaalmost ready – the Parks Crew reckon it's only about a week away! They're also pushing for the Big Air jump – it's all happening for our big events on the way like the Winter Games NZ & the Jossi Wells Invitational.

Tomorrow we're having a memorial for park builder Tom Campbell, above the Big Air at 2pm. Anyone who'd like to come & pay their respects to the big man is more than welcome. The Sunday Parks Jam this will be on the T.C. features at the top of Stag Lane.
