Pipelines Ski Report July 29, 2017

It's been a week of everything for the last Pipelines Ski Report of July!

This week we've had it all – from stormy days to a bluebird powder day yesterday! We've had the next generation up the mountain with Primary School Skiing starting this week, & some of New Zealand's best older skiers taking part in the Dynastar Ski Masters racing.

Ever wondered what our morning commute looks like? Thanks to Kyle Miller for this awesome photo!

It's weeks like this that make you really appreciate the mountain & all it can offer!

Weather

Mountainwatch have another skiff of snow forecast in the middle of this coming week. Keep an eye on their feed for forecast updates!

You can listen to this week's Snow Report here, & as usual keep an eye on our daily Snow Report (updated from 6.30am) for current weather conditions.

Events

It's been such a solid week for events! We kicked off this week of events with the Mount Aspiring College Champs in both Boarder/Skier-X & Giant Slalom, then it's seven days in a row of lycra with the Dynastar Ski Masters which finish today,  followed by the FIS Tech Series of Giant Slalom & Slalom, finishing on Tuesday.

The FIS Tech Series is back on this week!

One of our biggest events in terms of competitors this season is the Otago Secondary School Champs, which will be on the following Monday. Keep an eye out for all our region's up & coming skiers & snowboarders on the mountain on August 7!

Parks

The third jump in the Big Bucks jump line was built last night & it's looking pretty good! The Olympic Superpipe is getting close – the left hand wall has been pushed & the right wall isn't far away.

The weekly Parks Jam is on tomorrow – keep an eye out for the flags & show the Parks Crew your best to win free stuff!

Things to check out

Have you picked up a copy of our Heart of Gold Zine yet? They're all around the mountain & FREE to take home! They're full of our stories & we'd love to share them with you.

Aussie band Client Liaison are playing a gig tomorrow night at the Rippon Hall, in association with Diaries Downunder & Tourism New Zealand. They are an awesome indie-pop band with a real connection to the slopes so grab a ticket & we'll see you there with our dancing shoes on!
