The FIS Freeski & Snowboard Junior World Championships returns to Cardrona with an amazing calendar of events. Athletes ages 14 to 19 years old are heading to New Zealand’s Southern Alps once again for the 2018 World Championships. Watch them compete for glory in freestyle skiing, snowboarding – enjoy the fun festival program that will be bigger & better than ever. The Games are one of the world’s top 5 winter sports competitions & the only one in the Southern Hemisphere. They are also New Zealand’s largest recurring sports event. Cardrona is hosting the Slopestyle, Halfpipe, Skier & Boardercross, Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom & Slalom racing as part of the World Junior Champs.
But that's not all! For the first time, Cardrona will be hosting a FIS World Cup Big Air to finish off the Games! Situated just above the Cardrona Base Area, the Big Air jump provides for some spectacular viewing. Be sure not to miss the action as the world’s best throw down!
