Drive to Cardrona from Queenstown or Wanaka, book a private charter, or jump on a shuttle from the Cardrona Valley!

Getting to Cardrona is easy, no matter where you’re staying! Located in the heart of the Southern Alps, we’re a short drive from Wanaka, Queenstown and Arrowtown. Let us drive you with daily shuttles from the Cardrona Valley – we'll get you up our mountain road and onto the trails in no time!

Our shuttles have a bike trailer attached – please note that kids’ bikes (e.g. 24”, 20”) will not fit on the bike trailer, although they may be carried if space allows inside the van.

Cardrona Valley Shuttles

This summer we’re offering shuttles from outside the historic Cardrona Hotel to the top of the Cardrona mountain road. You can jump on a shuttle from the Cardrona Hotel for a day of hitting the trails, or ride the Peak to Pub trail and catch a ride back up to Base. Return shuttles back to the hotel must be booked for a specific time – if you're up biking for the day and you're an intermediate rider you can take the Peak to Pub down the mountain to end your day as well! Shuttles are $15 up and $5 down, and the Peak to Pub Shuttle and One Ride Pass is $35. Bookings must be made in advance, either online or through our Guest Services team by phone or email. Bookings are date/time-specific, and seats are subject to availability on scheduled times below.

Driving to Cardrona

Cardrona is just a short hop over the Crown Range from Queenstown Airport, which makes life easy if you need to pick up a rental car and drive straight here.

Turn off from the Cardrona Valley Road, across the highway from the Cardrona Distillery/Cardrona Bra Fence. We are located 13km up an unsealed alpine access road so please take your time and maintain two-way traffic at all times.

Parking

For summer, drive to the top of the Cardrona mountain road and park right beside our Base area. There’s plenty of parking up top – ask one of our friendly team if you’re not sure where to pull up your wagon!
