By purchasing a CPS or TCFR (including Academy) programme, you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions as set out in this document.
Terms and Conditions are correct at the time of publication but may be subject to change.
Course fees are due 65 days prior to the official start date of any course or at the time of booking if inside of this. Your place in training is not confirmed & coaching will not commence until the registration form is complete & all fees are received.
ITC program components purchased individually or as part of the package are non-transferable and may only be used by the person whose name & photograph are assigned. Fraudulent use or on-selling will result in cancellation of the program component & prosecution of all parties involved.
Upon written confirmation informing of cancellation from any course and/or package (including illness, injury, change of mind, or change of circumstance before, during, or after the course has commenced), the following cancellation policy will apply:
More than 65 days prior to course commencement: 100% refund (less a $1000 administration fee)
A comprehensive Travel Insurance Policy which includes Cancellation Cover in excess of the course costs, plus illness/injury, delayed/lost baggage etc., is therefore strongly required for all course participants. For New Zealanders, please look at comprehensive domestic travel insurance & ensure it covers snow sports.
If the ability level of the student is lower than the minimum standard required to participate in the programme, then an alternative option may be provided when possible and any extra costs will be the responsibility of the participant (guest). The ability to remain with the group is at the discretion of the trainers and Instructor Training Centre Manager, and if they options offered are not deemed suitable by the trainee, there is no recourse as the fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If we do not get the required minimum number of 4 trainees per group for a particular training option, we may not be able to run that training, or it may be scaled down in time due to the private/semi-private nature of a small number. In the event that we are forced to cancel a training programme, we will contact you with alternate options.
No refund will be given for any unused training sessions or other booked items (whether package or otherwise) due to the trainee’s late arrival, illness, or injury. Make-up days are not able to be offered. In the case of resort closure due to weather conditions, mechanical failure, or any other reason outside of the control of ITC, we will attempt, but do not guarantee to reschedule the planned training. This training may be on or off snow and may be on the mountain or in Wanaka.
Snow sports involve a certain element of risk & are undertaken at the individual's own risk. Cardrona Resorts, Instructor Training Centre (ITC) & its trainers are not responsible for any injury that occurs during the course of a training programme, on or off snow.
Care and responsibility of any property belonging to Cardrona Alpine Resorts Ltd, it’s guests, and any external providers is expected (eg. Accommodation, lockers, other venues used for course purposes etc). For any damage, cleaning, repairs or otherwise, the responsibility remains that of the trainee. This includes any financial implications/repatriation.
Adherence to the ITC Code of Conduct will be maintained. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action including, but not limited to, loss of training &/or pass and any associated privileges.
Use of the Snow Sports School lift line is a privilege for ITC participants only (no friends/family etc.) & is available exclusively during training sessions when with a trainer. Any misuse of this privilege will result in the privilege being revoked and could result in loss of lift pass.
Accommodation is limited and the Instructor Training Centre Manager will make the final decision regarding bed allocations in collaboration with the accommodation provider. If the trainee is not happy with the room allocation, then they can approach the Accommodation or the Instructor Training Centre Manager who will attempt to re allocate where space allows.
If the trainee becomes unhappy with their room allocation after arrival, then again, they must approach the Accommodation or the Instructor Training Centre Manager who will attempt to re allocate where space allows. The bed/room remains non-refundable and non-transferable at any stage, including if unable to re allocate or the trainee chooses not to take any options provided.
Transport is non-transferable and non-refundable as per refund policy above including but not limited to any resort closed days.
The Instructor Training Centre and Cardrona Alpine Resorts Limited is not responsible if training facilities or other package components are not available in the event of acts of God and other unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to weather events, mechanical breakdowns, electrical supply and/or roading issues.
Lift pass use and transferability is as per the Lift Pass Terms And Conditions seen separately on the Cardrona.com website.
