Kids' Group Lessons (5–17yrs)

Help your kids learn to ski or snowboard with a perfect mix of fun and adventure! Kids’ Group Lessons are designed to fit in with your family ski holiday to help your kids get the most out of their day at Cardrona.

Kids’ Group Lessons are a super fun way to learn to ski or snowboard! Our fantastic instructors will help your child gain valuable skills to fall in love with the mountain and snow sports. 

We offer group ski lessons from 5yrs and group snowboard lessons from 7yrs (under 7s can take a private snowboard lesson!) – kids will be split up in terms of age and ability, and reassessed within the first 30mins to make sure they’re in the right group. If you have an Under 5 check out our Under 5s lessons & our specialised Childcare Centre.

Things to Know

• Group Lessons run for the full day with a 45min lunch break at 1pm. (Your children will need to be collected for this time)
• Pre-booking is required for Group Lessons
• Lessons start and finish in the Kids’ Meeting Area giving you an opportunity to meet the instructors
• Please drop your kids off 10mins before start time
• Lift passes and ski hire are not included in the prices above. Full packages are available

First Time Zone

• For people who have NEVER been on a ski or snowboard before
• Will be mastering the basics on the Learner Conveyor Tunnel and Beginners' Area close to our Base
• Learning from experienced instructors on world class terrain

Beginner Zone

• Made for people who have the ability to stop on skis or a snowboard
•  Will be working on side-slipping and turning on the Beginner area
• Gaining confidence and skills to work towards green runs

Novice Zone (green terrain)

• Ideal for people who want to learn to turn more confidently
• Will be riding the McDougall's Chondola to access Cardrona’s extensive network of wide, open green trails
• Gaining confidence and skills to work towards blue runs

Intermediate Zone (blue terrain)

• Perfect for people who can get around the mountain on green and blue runs
• Working on parallel turns on skis or edge control on your snowboard
• A great option to ski and ride with other people at your level!
• An introduction to different snow conditions and terrain choices

Advanced Zone (black terrain)

• Take your skiing and riding to the next level by refining your skills all over the mountain
• Try something new with confidence, under expert guidance!
• Explore the mountain both on and off-piste
• Introduction to Cardrona’s world-famous park facilities is an option at this level
