After a warm weather cycle, it looks like winter is back!
That means a few things - when there's precipitation, it's going to be snow, and we can also get back into snowmaking over the next couple of days. Colder weather should also help the team working on the road, so it won't be quite as muddy over the next few days hopefully!

It looks like we're finally out of the warm cycle, so please remember to bring lots of layers for the week ahead. Snow Forecast are predicting a little bit of snow overnight, then a sunny Saturday and possibly a bit of wind on Sunday afternoon. Check the Snow Report from 6.30am daily for each day's updates!
If you're in the backcountry this week, don't forget to record what you observe through the NZ Mountain Safety Council's Avalanche Advisory page.

The last jump in our big jump line will be built and opened over the next couple of days... watch this space.
Over the next week or so, the parks will also be hosting the Winter Games NZ Obsidian park jam and big air events – we'll keep you in the loop with when those events will be held!

After being postponed last week due to the snow conditions, the Cardrona Mountain Bikes on Snow is on this Sunday! Head on up on Sunday to check out all the action as the racers bike down from the top of Whitestar down to the Base Area... and maybe take a tumble or two on the way.
Over at TC, tomorrow's Base NZ Mini Mountain has been postponed and we'll let you know when it's back on.

TC is back open after a few days closed with the warm weather. To make up for a week of being closed, Treble Cone is going to try to open for the weekends in September (weather and snow permitting), past their scheduled closing date of September 6.
