The Aussies are here, now it's time to add the Kiwis into the mix for the July School Holidays at Cardrona...
We've had an awesome week up here at Cardrona – we're back into the swing of snowmaking, we've had a couple of dusting of new snow, and we've kicked into the Aussie school holidays with a bang!
Conditions on-trail are pretty great, and after a couple of centimetres, there have been some fun wee pockets for the adventurous (like Matt Sweet was on Thursday to get the shot at the top of this page). We've got lots on for the school holidays – our top 5 recommendations around the mountain for the little ones are:
- Use the drop off zone for kids and gear before parking in a lower carpark.
- Skiing the Adventure Trail off Skyline, with the Mining Pick, Wagon and Mining Tunnel.
- A hot chocolate at Vista Bar.
- Pizza at Captain's – always a winner!
- Put them into Kids' Club or Ski Kindy so you can go for a peaceful ski in the knowledge they're looked after.

Events
We just want to give a massive shout out to the 75 women who joined in for the second ever Ngā Wāhine ō te Maunga – Women of the Mountain last Saturday! We raised almost $2000 for Boarding for Breast Cancer and we can't wait to do it all again soon.
This coming week we've got our first school holiday event. GromFest is on July 10, and it's an epic day for wee shredders to learn what training and competing are all about, with some of NZ's best skiers/snowboarders to hang out with them and their mates! It's free to sign up, so check out the event page and come along for all the fun!

- Park Attack Slopestyle on July 20
Terrain Parks
We're still going in #McPark, but the plan is to move across to Lil' Bucks and Antlers Alley as soon as possible. The boys are also getting creative with some features in unexpected areas – keep an eye out for some creative park placements!
Things to look out for
We've got a whole lot of brands doing some demos up on the mountain over the next week – this is a really great opportunity to try some new skis, boards, or even a GoPro before you commit to a new piece of kit.
If the school holidays are getting a bit full on (we're looking at you, Mum and Dad!), then remember you can always drop in to the Silver Sixpence Beauty Bus for a massage or beauty treatment... they've got you covered for all your relaxation needs!!
