Cardrona What's On: More Terrain Open!

Snow's landed with our latest spring pass, and new terrain is open. Read all about it in this week's what's on.

It's been a snowy week and the conditions on main trails are running great. We've announced our latest Spring Flexi 5 day pass that's available to buy now. It works the same as our 'regular' Flexi 5 day pass. This means it can be used at both Cardrona and Treble Cone, at any time from September 1, and is valid to use even if the mountain is sold out of day or multi-day passes.

In terrain news, we opened Captain's late last week, and we were happy to be reunited with some of our favourite runs, views, and ski-in pizzeria.

The Valley View chairlift also opened yesterday, which means you have the option to skip some of the drive to Base building. Park at Valley View carpark and hop on the chairlift there. Skip coffee queues too, and grab your morning wakeup from the Little Meg Café, located beside the carpark. There's a pickup kiosk there too, so if you've not got your physical pass yet, you can scan your confirmation barcode and it'll print there and then.

Weather Forecast

There's been a few snow showers this week, making for great trail conditions. Low temps have also meant we've had the snow guns blazing. Today could have some snow on the cards, while this weekend is looking overcast, dry, with lows of 0 degrees.

Treble Cone

Yesterday TC got a good layer of snow as well as a solid blasting from the snowguns, freshening the runs. There's potential for a bluebird powder afternoon today, and the rest of the weekend's looking chilly and overcast.

Keen to explore TC's backyard? Head to the saddle, which should have some great ungroomed skiing or riding.

With a good layer of snow, and more on the way, now's a great time to visit TC, take some turns and check out one of the best views in New Zealand. If you're coming from Queenstown, consider taking the bus. The drive from Queenstown to Treble Cone is amazing, and the views out the window could well be one of the highlights of your day. Let us take the wheel, check out our bus transport options here.

Terrain Parks

The Cat and Parks crews will continue to add to McPark. So far there's 9 features in there, and they reckon there should be 13 - 14 in the next couple days. You'll find McPark under the lower McDougall's Chondola.

For those looking for some jumps, our medium/large jump line, Antlers Alley is open with 3 to hit!
