We're heading into the last week of the 2019 season – it's time to get those last turns in and join the celebration!
We've had an absolute blast so far this season, and now we're in the business end... there's just over a week left of Winter 2019 and there's still a lot of fun to be had out there!
Because we're quietening down for the tail end of the season, there are a few things that are having their last hurrah this Sunday:
- Captain's and Whitestar Express chairs
- Captain's Café and The Mezz
- Pine Trees shuttles
- Shuttles from Queenstown and Wanaka
That means that fun and food continues with:
- McDougall's Chondola and the Beginners' Area
- Base Café and The Lounge
- Tubing and sightseeing
- Lil' Bucks, Stag Lane and Big Bucks terrain parks
We're excited for a great last week of skiing and snowboarding up here – there's still time to get some turns in, have a slide and join in on all the fun. Events
We're in the full swing of Spring Camp at the moment – a training camp in halfpipe and big air for elite athletes. It's pretty rad to see some of the world's best trying new tricks in our backyard!
Closing Day is on Sunday, October 20, and we're celebrating the transition from winter skiing and snowboarding to summer mountain biking with the annual The Fun Never Stops race. It's always a LOT of carnage, so get your entries in (as an individual or a team), or come up to watch all the mayhem!
Terrain Parks
A massive congratulations to our very own The North Face Cardrona Parks Crew for taking home "Best Line" in the New Zealand Snowboarding Park Crew Battle – check out their line below!
A huge shout out the team at New Zealand Snowboarding for putting on this great competition every year, and the legends at Turoa Parks for taking out the overall title for the second year running. It's epic to see how strong the Kiwi terrain park community is!
